I had loved blogging while traveling, even if it was just three posts. (I got sidetracked from getting into bike accidents and kids' camps and English teaching gigs. My apologies.)
BUT BUT BUT, I tried googling the blog one day (don't look at me like that, you google yourself, too.) and none of the posts showed up, so I thought my internet broke and my blog topics were just lost in the web portal for eternity, so I sighed a sigh and put the blog on the back burner of my brain.
Dig the alliteration? Me too.
And then my angel of a Dad mentioned that he missed reading the blog posts, and I said "shut the front door, you could see those?"
AND LO AND BEHOLD, the blog was alive all along.
All that to say, I wanted to give my formal apology for hardcore slacking on blog posts and recipes and stories and weird photos of Oprah with bread.
I hope to keep it alive and healthy with new posts, God willing I don't get into any more bike accidents...
I have kept a physical journal all throughout this whole year of R&D backpacking, so I'll be able to go back and write about some funky shenanigans that have happened throughout the journey, all for the sake of Bake and Skate. So keep ya eyes and bananas peeled.
I'm not 100% sure what that analogy means but it's nothing dirty, I promise.
Go eat more fruit.
AND WEAR A HELMET.
